Our Motto

‘FIRE MUST BURN’  is the Motto of the school, it was the Motto of Fr. Constant Lievens. Fire represents God’s Love and knowledge . The nature of the fire is to burn and give light and warmth to others. Every Lievenite  becomes a sharer of God’s Love and pursue to acquire knowledge and share it.

Aims & Objectives

The school attaches great importance to a varied programme of activities outside the ordinary class routine. These are designed to develop important traits of character like, honesty, self confidence, co-operation and diligence, and to promote latent talents for leadership and responsibility. A proper use of library facilities, study circles , debates, elocution and quiz contests, dramatics, music & dance and class picnics are some of the cultural as well as educational activities. Through International Cultural exposure students gain experience of varied cultures .

Catholic  and Christian students attend mass on special occasions and on the first Friday of every month. All students are given a comprehensive course in Value Education and Faith Formation. In teaching the Humanities and the Sciences, the aim is to impart an integrated theoretical and practical knowledge based on the latest techniques and the requirements of the syllabus of the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education. Games and physical training have an appropriate place in the Timetable.

OUR VISION OF EDUCATION

Following the footsteps of the Supreme Master, Jesus Christ, and following His example and teachings, we the administrators and teachers take up the responsibility for each child’s  all-round personality development in addition to imparting high quality of academic knowledge through a very systematic and well coordinated syllabus using the modern technique of teaching. ‘Fire must Burn’ is the motto of the school and with this motto foremost in mind  we devote special attention to help each and every child to:
 
  • Nourish a deep faith in God.
  • To build an integrated national character and to imbibe love and appreciation for the diverse national culture of the country.
  • To develop the quality of independent reasoning, judgment and self reliance.
  • To imbibe in them the value of obedience and self-discipline while training them for a leadership role.

  • To speak truth and seek truth without fear of favour.
  • To inculcate the spirit of team work and co-operation in various branches of activities both inside and outside the class room.
We steadfastly believe that education is not mere preparation for life but is LIFE ITSELF.
